Observation Station for Mt. Timpanogos
A great circle of almost 200 miles will be visible next summer to tourists from the Mt. Timpanogos lookout station, which has just been completed. It was announced Friday by E.C. Shepard, Wasatch forest supervisor.
The glass station, built 12,008 feet above sea level, has been constructed under the supervision of Ranger V. N. West, who broke up his camp under the summit of the peak Wednesday night to escape being snowed in.
Dugway mountain, 90 miles away in the West desert can be seen from Timpanogos, while King’s Peak, 72 miles to the east, is the extent of visibility in this direction.
